~Tuesday Thoughts~

It is SO easy to become stressed, isn't it? There are so many things on the to-do list. So many distractions we keep turning to. So many things we keep on failing to master.

But we don't have to worry. In fact, God tells us not to.

What should we do instead of experiencing the seemingly ever-present stress? Pray. Yes, it might seem too easy of an answer. And of course you can write, play the piano, or start randomly coloring a coloring book if that helps you - as long as you pray too.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Praying works. God cares and He is always available to listen. You can really have that peace.

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
